Side effects of Cialis – is it as safe as the producer claims?

Though Cialis is considered a safe drug, which has mainly positive effect on the state of health, it is a medicine, but not just a food supplement or vitamin. And it has certain contraindications and side effects, which can cause a lot of troubles. In most cases, side effects of Cialis are associated with incorrect or uncontrolled taking or allergic reactions to the components of the drug.

Initially, one should keep in mind that Cialis improves erectile function in men. Erection and orgasm influence heartbeat. This is why men with heart disorders should be very careful. Those, who have experienced heart attacks or strokes recently (less than half a year ago), must not take Cialis. Also, even healthy men should not take Cialis just for fun! It is a drug, not a sexual stimulator. Finally, it’s forbidden to take it with any drugs that contain nitrates. Such combination can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, which is dangerous for life. And keep in mind that tadalafil is not intended for women and teenagers.

Patients with anatomic defects of the penis should not take Cialis. It will not help to eliminate the cause, while the tissues can be damaged as a result of a sudden and painful erection. The list of contraindications also includes alcohol, which is not recommended for use with this drug.

• Some patients report on backache after taking Cialis, but such cases are very rare.

• Some patients also report on muscle pain, but their number is also very little.

• More men note that after taking Cialis they experience problems with stomach (dyspepsia, upset stomach, diarrhea, and so on).

• Sometimes patients can experience problems with their eyes and vision. Often men report on so-called blurred vision, which is a temporary effect and doesn’t last long, though it is unpleasant.

• A small number of patients have allergic reactions to the components of the drug. Usually, these reactions are not severe and don’t require hospitalization or special treatment. Severe allergic reactions are exceptionally rare.

• Patients that suffer from various heart problems sometimes report on breast ache. But it is still unclear whether it is caused by Cialis or not. Probably, the pain is associated with the fact of sexual activity itself.

Though there hadn’t been any special clinical trials dedicated to the combination of Cialis and alcohol, such combination is not recommended. Some patients, who tried it, report on slight dizziness.

There also had been several cases of priapism registered. Priapism is an abnormally long erection, which doesn’t stop after ejaculation. It is usually painful and gives discomfort to a man. In the case of priapism, if erection lasts 3-4 hours and more, call for emergency medical help, as it can be dangerous.
